Returning Home to Gering

I left Kentucky earlier then I planned, and left Tompkinsville Sunday evening. It's a long story as to why, and one I don't really care to think of at the moment. Anyway, I decided to take a side trip through Oklahoma and see my family there. As I type this, I'm at my cousin Tiffiney's house in Moore, which is just south of Oklahoma City.

Today is my last full day here, as tomarrow I head towards Tulsa (maybe) to see a friend of mine. I did a little shopping, and am now 1 DVD set away from havinging special editions of all the Star Trek movies. I somehow got away with NOT spending money at Bass Pro Shops, which is weird. Oh wait, I know why. I like Cabelas selection on things MUCH better, although they do have some AWESOME boats.

I saw something AWESOME on Saturday. I went to the Lousiville Slugger Museum and Factory with a friend of mine. They have a wall with engravings of EVERYONE they have made baseball bats for. I saw this one:

Johnny Hopp, my Daddy's uncle, and one of the most Godly men I've ever known. How about that? Relatives of mine in a museum!

Have you ever read James 1? I've taught on it a time or two. Something recently happened that has me putting it into practice. I won't say what, as it will upset me as to it, and the person, and I really don't want any bad blood. Let's just say, the BarlowGirl song "Porcelin Heart" is quite applicable, as is the Skillet song "Open Wounds". I might post a lesson later on James 1.

In the meantime, I'm off to family stuff. I think there is pizza and movies on the horizon tonight.
